Revolutionizing Healthcare Access: The Patients First Journey

Patients First is a concept app designed to make healthcare services more accessible, particularly for young adults who often delay seeking medical advice. The app aims to address the barriers preventing regular check-ups and early diagnosis of health issues that can affect quality of life.

My Role in Patients First:
Timeline, and Deliverables

As the solo product designer, I handled user research, wireframing, UI design, and usability testing. Over 2.5 months, I delivered a high-fidelity app mock-up, ensuring a user-centric and functional design.

35% of millennials have gone  5+ years without an annual health check up.

This signifies an opportunity it  for interventions promoting regular check-ups and early detection.

47% of millennials would opt for at least half of their doctor visits to be virtual.

Of particular relevance is the growing acceptance of telemedicine and its implications for healthcare solutions.

73% of young adults search for medical advice online rather than going to the doctor's office.

What's key here is meeting users where they are in their healthcare decision-making process with accurate information.

Designing for Wellness - Building the Core Features

Developing the app's core features involved overcoming technical challenges to ensure seamless functionality. Key features include a streamlined booking system, a locator for nearby clinics, and virtual appointment options. These were designed to break down barriers to healthcare access, such as geographical limitations and scheduling conflicts.
